Are you vegetarian or veg-curious? Or maybe, you are completely unsure of what “vegan” means but it sounds intriguing?

Firstly, we would like to say – veganism is NOT a diet but rather a lifestyle in which people strive to live as consciously as possible. It is not about being perfect; it is about doing your best. We do advocate for a whole foods plant-based diet which is the most healthful but our main focus is the animals.

Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.

Our Vegan Mentoring Program is a little different than similar programs put on by large scale organizations simply because ours is local – you will meet with your mentor to do things like go grocery shopping, eat out at a restaurant, and plan meals. Your mentor will guide you during your transition by using their own experiences and giving you resources and tips.
