DESCRIPTION:ARGathering 2018 is a conversation about the intersections of animal rights. The organizers of this event\, are hoping to disrupt the mainstream narrative\, build a stronger identity\, and promote intersectional organizing. \nWe will be asking and discussin how or if we bring the non-human animal into the intersections of our existence\, organizing\, and support work. \nPlease visit our website\, and register at the bottom of the page! \nargathering2018.wordpress.com \nSpeakers:\nBina Ahmad will be speaking on the intersections of Islam and the the Muslim community and animal liberation both theoretically and how this plays out in great and not so great ways in the animal liberation movement. \nMaia Ramnath will be seaking on colonization and how that has shaped societies interaction with non-human animals\, the land\, and each other. \nThere will be a No New Animal Labs debrief on Saturday morning. Please get in touch! \nThis is a non-organizational gathering\, however Friday night we will have a meet and greet and time for folks to share what they are working on. \nWe will be providing food and attempting to help people with travel funds\, so please register and let us know if you can throw in some cash!

SUMMARY:2018 PA Farm Show Protest
DESCRIPTION:This protest is being organized by Harrisburg Animal Action. \nProtest the absolutely abhorrent use of animals for food and entertainment. The PA Farm Show is one of the most visible showcases of this horror show in the country. This will be a standard “protest” only\, we are not planning a disruption. The protest will take place within the Farm Show’s designated free speech zone. It is our hope that we can gather enough activists at one time\, on opening night of the Farm Show\, to make a significant impression. We will contact media and hope for coverage of our protest.
